I started my creative career working as a stage technician/carpenter at various theatres in London. I also completed a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) course, which gave me the opportunity to teach and travel abroad. After my travels in various countries, I settled in Sao Paulo, Brazil where I taught for 15 years. During this time, I completed an art and design course (part-time) at a prestigious Art School and achieved a Diploma in Fine Art. I also studied art history with a well-known Brazilian art critic and shared a studio with Ilka Lemos, painter/sculptor. My partner, Alex Rezende and I then moved to Paraty, Rio de Janeiro state where we opened our studio. We lived and worked as artists here for 5 years before returning to the UK,living in Bristol and recently settling in Liverpool.
